Friday Stream of Consciousness Returns Friday
Here’s what’s on my mind this morning - on Friday :)
In my previous blogging era—during which I often posted 3-4 times per week— Friday Stream of Consciousness was regularly the most read post of the week. The idea is simple—an unfiltered mind dump made available to the world. It does make a person feel vulnerable. After all, would you really want people knowing what you are actually thinking. I picked Friday’s, because that was my day off for more than twenty years. It was usually typed in my pajamas, with coffee in hand.
I think people liked it because they felt like they got to know me. It was more like having a cup of coffee with a friend than reading a more formal post. In FSOC you are as likely to get thoughts on the stock market, quotes from a book I’m reading, a story or two from parenting, personal updates, or commentary on my beloved Padres as you are earth-altering analysis on…well…anything. That’s the point.
So, I’m pleased to announce, in the Leadership Carnival era, I am resurrecting Friday Stream of Consciousness. I’m posting this so I can just post tomorrow without explanation. If you don’t care about FSOC posts, pass on by.
First, the ground rules. This is a literal stream of consciousness. I review for grammar/spelling only, one time. Then, I publish. If you are looking for profundity, brilliant theses, or Shakespearean sonnets—you will be disappointed. You are getting random personal thoughts on the passing scene, as they hit my mind, in the order they are received. So, have mercy.
I will meet you in the morning, friend.
